As part of Elan’s Across the Country Charitable Giving program, Fairmont Federal Credit Union (Fairmont FCU) designated Mon Valley Habitat for Humanity (MVHFH) to receive a $12,500 donation to support their mission of constructing safe, affordable homes, advocating for fair housing, and providing community resources for residents of Marion, Monongalia, and Preston counties.
"We selected MVHFH because their current build plans will cover at least three of the five counties that our credit union serves. Additionally, the new construction will provide opportunities for our employees to volunteer time” shared Stacey Harvey, Fairmont FCU’s VP of Market Development.
During the check presentation earlier this spring, staff from Mon Valley Habitat for Humanity gave a tour of their ReStore facility and discussed their upcoming build-site in Preston County. The new housing is expected to be completed in 2022 and includes three single family homes.
Tony Ince, Elan Account Executive Team Leader added, “As a credit union partner, we understand the importance of community. It is very meaningful for Elan to see these funds support the members of Fairmont FCU’s community in such a vital way.”
