Elan was honored to join credit card partner, Piedmont Advantage Credit Union (PACU), at their foundation’s Flying Colors Charity 5K and Fun Run — a day filled with excitement, exercise, and community-focused purpose. Proceeds from the event support PACU Foundation’s mission to advance access to financial literacy, education and training, as well as disaster and emergency assistance for individuals facing financial hardship across the Triad and Charlotte communities in North Carolina.
PACU President and CEO, Dion Williams shared, “As a smaller credit union, we can’t do everything on our own. So when partnerships help us unlock new opportunities to better serve our members, it's incredibly valuable. Our partnership with Elan is a great example of how that's worked out for us and why I think it's wonderful that these partnerships exist.”
This event is one of five planned during 2026 to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the Elan Charitable Giving Program. Elan volunteers helped setup, energized more than 180 participants by throwing color, and even participated in the run.
“The donation from Elan was really impactful as it was half of what we would typically raise in a year to support our community. Having partners like Elan that also find value in that community give back and having that larger impact, helps us drive our mission forward,” shared Jean Golden-Rumer, President of PACU Foundation.
Since the PACU Foundation is the charitable affiliate of Piedmont Advantage Credit Union, currently in a pending merger with Truliant Federal Credit Union, it will begin winding down its operations by month end. The Elan Charitable Giving program was honored to be there in person and donate a total of $20,000 to support the foundation’s incredible legacy of turning values into action.
